CHAPTERS: BUILD IMAGES WTAC 2018 HARROP 427 MONARO WINS OUSCI
A few years ago our team set out to build our version of the ultimate Monaro - The last Australian manufactured two door coupe, rear wheel drive, V8 muscle car!
We reviewed the Harrop 427 Monaro build in detail with former Supercar driver Nathan Pretty who drove Harrop 427 for the win at the inaugural Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge in Australia.
A huge thanks to our team and amazing build partners for their contribution to this special project.

World Time Attack Challenge at Sydney Motorsport Park was the first event the Harrop 427 Monaro was entered in with limited shake down laps at Phillip Island HUSCI and a Friday Winton Test'N'Tune.
Our team worked hard on tuning the set-up and getting valuable feedback from Ahmed who has lots of experience racing Improved Production Commodore's at Sydney Motorsport Park. On our first real outing out at the track we were pleased to finish in the Top 10 with a solid 1:42.36 fastest lap.

In November 2019, our team entered the Harrop 427 Monaro in the inaugural Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational event in Australia. The aim of the event is to find the best all-round street car in terms of performance, fit and finish, engineering and comfort with all vehicles required to have production tags, enclosed wheels and run street-legal tyres with a tread wear rating of 200 or higher.
The event had all competitors complete four segments - motorkhana, drags, circuit and speed-stop with each segment scored - the Harrop Monaro with Nathan Pretty behind the wheel nailed a near perfect score of 403 points out of a possible 405 to take the outright win in the competition.
We look forward to running the Harrop 427 Monaro in the highly competitive US event in 2021!
