The biggest automotive specialty trade show in the world, The SEMA Show drew over 70,000 domestic and international buyers this year. Whilst Harrop has attended SEMA for many years and showcased our product via our partners, 2017 was our first year displaying our own trade stand.
Located in the Upper South Hall, our booth featured a large range of Harrop supercharger systems. Our Toyota/Subaru FA20 TVS1320 unit proved to be exceptionally popular amongst patrons. Additional product included our BMW S65 TVS1740, Ford Mustang TVS2300, Nissan Patrol TVS2300 and our new to market GM LS TVS2650 supercharger for LS3 and LS7 engine combinations. Our smaller TVS900 R53 Mini Cooper S charger was on display both in the new product hall and Eaton booth in Central Hall.
Attracting the most attention, however, was not an automotive based product. Partnering with Nizpro Marine, Harrop has developed a marine-based TVS1900 supercharger unit to fit the Yamaha V6 outboard series. These engines come in various guises with the supercharger fitting all adaptations and raising power up to 450hp. The complete engine was a talking point of the show, the Yamaha 450s supercharger also picked up a Global Media Award for Best Engineered New Product. Partnering once again with Eaton on this project, we also displayed a complete engine on the large Eaton booth.
We would like to thank everyone who attended our booth and look forward to doing it all again in 2018.
